Sometimes it’s about more than what bites your line or what you put in the live well. My buddy Vin and I had the honor of spending the day on the water with our friends Carter and his brother in law David. Carter just returned home from his 3rd tour over in Afghanistan. One thing he so looked forward to upon returning to the states was setting the hook on a low country red - mission accomplished. He landed a nice 19 inch red on a top water plug that he was able to take home for dinner. David (pictured below ) landed this 15 lb red on a crab. Not one of our best trips as far as number of fish goes, but definitely one of our more memorable ones. Thanks to Carter for your service to our country - there’s always a spot on my boat for you bud.
Sho’ ‘nuff, 30.06! Good job puttin’ him on the fish! It’s ironic/unfortunate that the guys (and gals) who make it possible for us to fish whenever WE want are usually the most appreciative when THEY get to wet a line…

Great trip Greg! had blast and good guys. I don’t think we will ever have a day when you catch 7 different species Red, Ray, Gar, Lady fish a whiting blue Crab on paddle tail no less, and a catfish in the wando…crazy day… All that and we don’t get a trout…too funny
That’s awesome!
Good stuff! Awesome day still!
