Chris had his PB 22 inch red in the pic. We caught 14 redfish with four in the slot, 11 trout with four keepers, 1 weakfish and 2 undersized flounder… perfect weather, a great tide, and good time catching fish. ZMan Swimming trout trick blue glimmer on Eye Strike 3/16 Trout Eye Jig heads caught most of the fish.

Still learning so would appreciate answers to what were they hitting on and what tide.?
Neil, we started on a mid outgoing tide and USED ZMan swimming trout tricks pearl blue glimmer on 3/16 oz trout eye jig heads and soaked with pro cure shrimp on the bait. we also used mud minnows and frozen shrimp on the 3/16 Texas eye jig heads and worked that slowly back to the boat. That produced 10 redfish hook ups. Trout bite was on mid incoming tide fishing grass that was in water with oysters everywhere with boat in 8 ft of water. All trout caught on the ZMan rig mentioned above- that is our go to bait for trout. Also it was a neap tide and the tide just didn’t move that fast and I think that had a lot to do with our success. The previous week we fish same place and water was ripping out and no fish but had no MM or shrimp. Keep moving and working your bait.
