Crew: Morris, Tamesha, and Jack. Left Stono Inlet on the Exception at 6AM. Headed south hoping to find some dolphin. It was choppy on the way out but managed 35 mph comfortably. No sign of life at 150’seen several boats trolling the ledge decided to push deeper. Pushed to 200, then 300 nothing… Kept pushing out to 400 nothing… No flyers, no birds, not weed one nothing… Not looking good so far. Kept pushing out to 600’ and found a temp break 74 to 78 with a rip, weeds and birds you name it.Only 2 other boats there in sight. It was a perfect set up. Bright Blue Water pushing against dark blue. First time I have came across a true temp break. Deployed our 2 line spread. Less than 3 minutes fish on.Jack grabs the rod and puts first one on the boat. After that it was non stop for a hour an a half. We had some spit the hook and short strikes. By 10Am we had 15 on board. Took a break for a minute and started again.Several times Jack let the line out and the fish were on just behind the boat while he was lettin the line out.I had a dolphin at the boat and another Big one showed up.Jack grabbs the popper and Tamesha grabs the rod with a ballyhoo on it.It went to Jacks popper and almost takes it. Then it went to Tamesha’s ballyhoo. almost takes it back and forth until it takes Tameshas at the boat.Jack sets the popper down and gaffs the fish that I had in the water the whole time. Got my fish in and I grabbed the gaff to get the big one on board. It was the day maker bull. Decided to fish another 30 minutes to beat the weather. Picked up around 12:40 and 66 miles to the hill. Fished two lines all day. We considered fishing with only one line but kept the 2 line spread. Fire drill most of the day. Started the trip at 36 mph for 30 miles. Weather really kicked up after 25 miles rough. Whitecap rollers beam sea backed it to 27mph on the way in. Finished with 27 nice dolphin.
