Great day with the Reds

Got into the reds big time today. Fished all day without seeing a fish or a bite. Last 3 hours of daylight tried this new spot been wanting to try. The reds were there and hungry. The more I went up this creek the more reds I saw and caught. Swirling everywhere. Redfishermans dream. All over slot. Biggest 30". Lost 2 monsters.Hit everthing I threw. Devoured is more the word. Smokin croaker grub, sahpire shine, white gulp jerkbaits and zman paddletails. Had to leave them biting before getting dark and stranded by the tide.

That’s for sure Penny. I was really surprised that I saw mud banks full of fiddlers. How unusal it that in Feb? Or is it? Saw allot of bait in the creeks also.

thanks for sharing. Glad you had a great day. I had a day like that wednesday. Today, not so good…

when i went fishing in the wando on thursday, bait was everywhere, saw schools of MM and finger mullet, little menhaden and cigar minnows. its great weather in january!

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

Great report and pics
