Took a couple buddies fishing. My friend wanted me to take his uncle since he had never been saltwater fishing. Pulled away from the ramp at 09:45 on Friday morning. Fished the last couple hours of falling tide. Tried my first spot which usually holds nice trout, not a bite. Switched sides of the creek to get away from the wind, threw artificials(Zman SwimZ on ShroomZ heads and Trout Eyez) in less than 2’ of water and caught 25 redfish in 40 minutes. I went 6 for 6 in a row on cast/catch ratio. Water temp showed 68 degrees. Fish were hanging by a submerged mud bar with oyster rake. Moved on as the tide turned to try a different creek. Caught two more slot reds and headed back to the ramp. I believe the new guy is now hooked. This calm winter has kept fishing amazing, get out there and get some!
