After reading awesome reports by the famous Bugcatcher ever since i got on this site a few years ago…I finally got to go diving with him today… with much thanks to Captain Eric with the sweet 33’ Hydrasports. What a beautiful ocean today for those who were lucky enough to enjoy!! Ed’s friend Jeff was in town and the 4 of us had a great day.
We dove in the 80-100 ft range today. The vis was 40-50 ft straight down from the boat and 20-40 ft on the bottom. We dove some real nice live bottom and had our pick of some nice groupers today. We got our limit of gags very easily with good shooting by everyone but we couldn’t find any good sized scamps to add to our box. Ed added a few nice flounder to the mix. Some triggers and a sheepshead thrown in there gave us a good mix of fish. There were some healthy ARS swimming around, with tons of c bass, nice vermillions, and your usual AJs. We searched pretty hard for lobsters but no luck in that department. Today was a killer day on the water with a great group of safe and highly skilled divers that love to eat venison. Pretty darn good combination if you ask me. Thanks for the trip guys

i think formatting the SD card fixed my red problem on the gopro and i used the camera on the first dive, so quick little video of grouper kill shot
