I ordered my first batch of hooks from gerry’s tackle on E-bay, 100 live bait (Owner) for $11 and change, got 200 in and I am sold!

But they aren’t circles. How can you use them offshore bottom fishing??

SO what? if I can get 100 for $11, and they work as well as $5 for 6 hook owners, who cares who made them. I have fished plenty of owners, and these are identical

I agree, if they’re just as good, then who cares, I would use them too. But a lot of the crap that comes out of China looks the same but isn’t nearly as good, and it’s hard to tell from just looking at it. I’ve seen it with hooks before as well as with braided line, lures, etc. Just saw a guy get 3 cheap Chinese Lucky Craft knockoffs that looked the same as the real thing get wrecked by reds last week. Just saying…

Are the eyes big enough to get some heavy line through them or can you only get light leader through?

Some good deals on those Matzuo circle hooks as well. I like to buy local but there isn’t a lot of choice in Cola and these are good deals.

I hope you’re not serious, dude.

Paul’s given more business to the local shops than the next (10) people combined. Bulk purchases like this are a no-brainer, especially for someone who fishes as much as him.

And for your information, I don’t disagree with your premise. I’m from the Lowcountry and now live in Charlotte, and I wait ‘til I get down there before making almost any fishing-related purchase. If I’m gonna depart with my hard earned money, I’d rather give it to people I know and trust, as long as they’re pricing is comparable to their competitors’. That should be both expected and respected by the local shops. Common sense is common sense…

Just push the loop thru the eye and over the hook then take them off before heading head back home…
