For those of you following the tracking links, maybe you should know that one of the earliest recorded deaths from a shark in history was in Charleston harbor in 1840.
“Killed while treading water awaiting rescue after being accidentally thrown overboard in Charleston Harbor, Charleston County, South Carolina. Witnesses estimated the shark to be 25 feet (8 m) long.”
So it’s possible that the satellite ping up river is for real and not a fluke or glitch. Maybe he just cruised in and cruised back out without surfacing except for the single ping in the shallow creek.

As long as your not flounder gigging or shrimping at night you will not have a problem. It’s a well known fact, that Great Whites only eat stupid people, that are on the water after dark. So don’t be that guy!
come on people, the shark was NEVER anywhere close to Daniel Island…
11/3/12 at 12:29PM the shark pinged off Isle Of Palms…then on 11/4/12 at 1:21AM the shark traveled some 30 miles, into the harbor, up the Wando and into Beresford Creek? only to then turn back around, travel another almost 30 miles to be pinged back off the coast on 11/4/12 at 9:19AM?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That shark was in Beresford Creek looking for Realfish01, there are always fresh fish carcasses around his area! Big grouper heads and lobster remains always in the water.
