Great White of Chas harbor.

Just pinged.Watch out it may be hungry!!

Kind of unbelievable. That thing was way up Beresford creek yesterday. Thank goodness its gone back out. Looks like it was off Savannah today at lunchtime. Who knew they would venture inshore?

Creek, heck. It was walking down Joyner Lane according to the map I was looking at a minute ago.

Check out the map where it left the area. It was off Isle of Palms at 9:19 AM and then it was off south Edisto at 10:08. That’s about 35 miles in 49 minutes. Pretty fast for an extended period. I wonder if she was chasing a pod of dolphins that just stayed ahead of her until she tired. Maybe following dolphins is how she ended up in Beresford Creek.

Could she even fit in Beresford Creek? She is 3456 lbs and growing…

And one ping did show her on land. That clearly didn’t happen. I wonder how accurate the satellite data is…

They are using the new Apple Map app, to track her! What coud go wrong?

officially its an error. the shark was definitely nearby, most likely offshore, and possibly in the harbor. but definitely not up the wando.

as for the harbor it wouldnt be the first time according to wikipedia. there’s a report of a 25’ shark nabbing a guy in the harbor in the 1840’s while he was treading water waiting for a rescue – it’s assumed this was a great white.

i thought the stingrays were bad. i’ve seen jaws too many times to know better. if you see a guy in a canoe with a rod in one hand and a deer rifle in the other its because i’m going to need a couple weeks to forget about this before i relax.

Where is the map you are refering to? I can’t find anything on google.

LMAO @ Evan! It was reported by some official agency that the shark got up near Daniel Island. Apparently it is a GPS tagged shark. They say it is very rare and the last time something like this was reported was in the 40’s.

Dustin; We don’t know that it is very rare! They could be lurking out there all the time, just waiting! This one was GPS taged, but how many more are out there, that arn’t? The safest course of action, is to just stay off the water, period! This one may have been scouting the area out and is planning an attack for a later late! Be afraid, be very afraid !

search for ‘mary lee’

This doesn’t show the shark near the rivers or even coming in the harbor.

They changed it’s track and removed all inshore pings from the last 2 days. Something to do the the Charleston tourism board I think

Yeah they removed them. I call B.S on this.

That’s it Cracker! The gubment don’t want to cause a panic! First thing you would have, is all the Democrates in Charleston hopping in cars and heading for the Up State! Then all the Hillbilly’s in the Up State grabbing shotguns and heading to Charleston. When they ran into each other there would be a hell of a fight! Democrates be bustin out they 9’s and Hillbilly’s reaching for deer rifles. Be so many people headed inland the coast would rise up and they wouldn’t be no Low Country anymo! FEMA be setting up shop handing out checks and trailers around Newberry somewhere. Just be a hell of a mess! It be best just don’t say anything about no shark! Let it eat a few and it will go anway sooner or later!

Some said 1940’s since the last great white, one washed a shore in 2008 I think on Morris Island

I remember seeing on the news that a 800 lb great white was caught in Charleston Harbor back in the early 90’s. They visit more often than we think.

I think it is awesome. We play on THEIR turf. I love when nature gets to shake it up a little bit! Go Mary Lee!
