Greenville River Fishing

I know that this should have probably been posted in freshwater, but it wouldn’t have gotton any reviews.

Heading up to Greenville this weekend for a wedding and have all day Saturday to kill time. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a nearby river that might have easy wading access and hold some trout or small mouth. Don’t want to travel too far out of town. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey team dry heave.Im from Greenville. We have a couple of river down here you could try.Saluda River is a river that feeds into Lake greenwood. It has bass, crappie, stripers, perch, catfish and gars.I see people wading in it alot in different places. Also in Laurens county you have Rabon river that is productive.Shoot me a pm for anymore info.Goodluck.

Stay downtown Drink beer at any number of good places. Leave rod at home. If married you will be better off.

The Eastatoe River is a great fishing spot. It is in northern Greenville County (30 minutes from downtown) and a Google search should get you there easy enough. However, it is the “snakiest” place I have ever fished so keep a sharp look out to and from the water.

The davidson is less than hour and has excellent, although technical, fly fishing for trout
