Greetings from Louisiana Transplant/Redfish hunter

My family recently relocated to the Clemson area, but we’re still making the trip to Louisiana for most of our fishing, because we’re still working to figure out South Carolina. My boat is called Little Drummer Boy, because we love to catch redfish and black drum and we’ve gotten pretty good at in Louisiana. If anyone is heading that way, hit me up for info, and we’ll get you on them.

We have a 16 ft V hull aluminum boat, a 12 ft kayak, and 4 pretty good 12 ft surf rods at our disposal, so we chase after them in the passes (usually jetties) and beaches mostly. We also chase bass and catfish in the freshwater lakes, but we are not as good at that. Hartwell is the closest freshwater lake to Clemson, and we really have not figured that out yet.

I’ll be posting some links and videos describing how we catch a lot of bull reds in Louisiana. Hopefully, the kind fishers here can reciprocate and help us succeed in SC waters also.

Welcome to the site. Fishing here is great, but on average the fish are gonna be a lot smaller than what you’re used to unfortunately. Once you get the hang of the tides you’ll figger em out

Welcome. I grew up on SC side of lake Hartwell, but now live on Edisto. Feel free to PM me for information on fishing Hartwell lake. I have always wanted to take a trip to Louisiana to fish. When I start planning one I will be sure to ask for some advice.
