Grill Clamp Lights for Gigging?

Stumbled across these while looking for lights for gigging. They’re obviously not waterproof, but battery powered is a plus since I don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on a generator. I could just clamp two on each of my bow rails and boom: cheapest gigging set up ever! Obviously brightness and durability are a concern. Worth a shot? What do y’all think?

I dont think you will be happy with that lighting for gigging. If you want something cheap and easy check out these in the link below. I have used them for years just connect to a deep cycle battery and go. I can run four of the fifty watt mr16’s off a group27 battery for 5 or 6 hours easy. Good luck hope this helps.

Read the reviews on the Lowes website. They appear to be cheap and dont give off much light.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

How many lumens? I don’t think it will be worth a hoot. I tried LED’s and went back to my CHEAP, $12 dollar, 500 watt halogens from Lowes. IMHO nothing beats them for the money. I know I could get HID’s or sodium, but for what one of them cost, I can buy 8 of these.

LEDs need to be under water or else they give off a bad glare unlike a halogen light
