Can anyone recommend a good anchor for the Grillage? I lost my grapnel anchor there a couple weekends ago, and was wondering if there is a type that works better than others there? Thanks…

Doesn’t matter what anchor you have, that is just the chance you take anchoring up there. There are probably 5000 other anchors down there with yours along with shrimp boat cables and other items. I’ve lost three anchors in a row going there, but I’ve also not lost one in three years.
It’s not worth the trouble anchoring at the grillage. Try a slow drift instead.
breakaway reef anchor
Scroll down a little bit, I got some great help on rigging anchor to get it loose when it gets stuck
I bet you I average one anchor a year out there over last 10 years so I feel your pain
Got some great advice here and from local Captain when he saw me loose one the other week

There is a cable that hangs up anchors.years ago on low tide we pulled it up to get our anchor back.

LOL
I have lost quite a few anchors there. I would love to put a camera down there to see what’s all on the bottom.
A diver could make a few $ going down and recovering anchors.
