Group Charters??

Hey everyone, I have a friend getting married in April. He mentioned taking out a charter a couple days before the wedding. There would be 5-6 of us all together. I know an offshore charter can accommodate up to 6 people, but the chances of all of us catching fish are unlikely. We all would like to catch something. So my question is, do any inshore charters accommodate 5-6 people? Or any other recommendations to accommodate all of us for a great day on the water with a high chance of us all catching something? thanks in advance and I appreciate the help.

You would be better taking a larger center console and do some reef fishing with that group. It is at its best in April and May. Check out my website (www.knotatworkfishing.com). Your other option would be taking 2 boats fishing inshore. Either one or any of the guides on this site can put you on some fish and a good time. Check them out.

Tight lines, Robert.

Any decent offshore charter boat should be able to wear everybody out on fish in April, as long as you don’t want to keep any. Grouper, snapper, sea bass and porgies will be thick, but they are all endangered species? so you can’t keep any until June.

It’s hard to inshore fish with 5-6 people on a boat. The boats are too small and it would be loaded too heavy. It would take 2 or 3 boats to handle that group inshore.

Offshore fishing should be hot in April. Check out our site below and give me a call. We usually troll but often do a half day trolling and half day bottom fishing. Everyone should catch something.

Check out our website below. We offer great prices for an inshore group trip. Inshore fishing will be great with action for everyone. Let us know if we can help out in any way.

There are several inshore - nearshore guides that use 24’ bay boats and can take 5-6 passengers. Capt Robert’s advice is correct in that a reef trip would be best for all to be able to fish at once but it is very weather and wind dependent. April is a good month for fishing both inshore and the reef.
