we have done well anywhere from 85 to 120 this time of the year

100 to 120 feet for medium size gags up to about 20 pounds. If you want to find a bruiser, up to 40 pounds get out deep 180 to 300. Whole live b-liner for bait, 200# leader and 10/0 circle hook. I use a 2 pound cannon ball weight to hold the bait on the bottom. Keep the bait on the bottom! And leave the rod in the rod holder to until you see it bow down
