I have been catching 10 to 12 inch grouper in the creeks. THEY WERE THROWN BACK. Is this normal?
The creeks are the nursery of the sea.

juvenile mangrove snapper, tarpon, and snook are also in small creeks right now

and I should have been more specific that those came from a cast net and they have been 3-4" snapper, 4-5" snook, and 6-10" tarpon. the poons could possibly be targeted with ultralight tackle if you knew their whereabouts in tiny creeks, Jose Wejebe would be proud if someone could pull it off on a 2wt!
