GTH 3/18

Ran to GTHole on a flat ocean with following moon. Found a huge sargassum mat in 200’ but 65.1 degrees. Dropped a butterfly down under the weed and pulled up an 18 lb blackfin. Played there some more with no takers so started to put out the spread. Second line wasn’t even in the holder when zzzzzzz…another BFT? Fought like one but turned into a huge tunny at boatside. Five minutes later another monster tunny. Trolled around for a couple of hours, never got over 65.5 degrees. Got tired of clearing weed and the wind started blowing unnecessarily hard so we decided to beat our way back in early. Saw lots of turtles, men of war, dolphins and three awesome manta rays. Seas got nice again around the Y so we stopped to play. Landed one huge tunny on a popper and released a large extinct red fish from a jig. All in all a great shake out trip.

Hey man, I appreciate the report!
At least you got out there and had some fun, plus a little meat…
