Took the day off work to enjoy a beautiful ocean. Lines in around Georgetown at 8 and trolled for 2 hours. Managed to capture two tiny tunas on a jigskinned cedar plug (thanks Courtland!) and nothing else. Had figured it would be slow so were prepared to hit the bottom. Limited out on Pinkies at the ledge and boxed 7 triggers too, then ran in to 120’ for an almost limit of nice BSB. Looked for some beeliners to round out the box but they were playing hard to get. Back to the dock by 4:30. Time to fire up the smoker!!

btodag - the older my back gets the more I appreciate the way Cats ride vs monohulls of the same size! I can still walk the next day!
Ed, the new artillery is still in the construction phase…made the mistake of getting a euro shaft and trigger mech which has required a little more involved woodworking than anticipated! Should be finished this weekend lousy weather willing! Then it’s game on!
Bolbie, I’m pretty sure those stringers were actually from thunderstar years back! Seems to me we hardly ever caught any pinkies 8-10 years back. Not sure if it was the way my wife prepared them last time but I’m thinking I actually prefer them to vermillions. Curious to see if that holds true tomorrow night!
