Caught a 34 lber. at the tip of the jettys today. A buddy fished a hot spot about a mile south and weighed a 37.4 lber. at the tackle shop. Can’t wait to go again on Thursday…Almost forgot also caught one at 29lbs. and one at 28 lbs…according to Boga. All caught on pogeys.
What tackle shop in Georgetown is weighing fish? I wasn’t aware of one - that would be good info to have.
You might want to warn your friend about that fish he caught. The FDA recommends you don’t eat any king macks over 36 inches in length due to the high mercury content. And that fish would be well over 36 inches. At least you will be able to see him at night when he starts glowing.
Good job on the fish.
were you using haden , baloon floating or what , I haven’t seen any reports from the rocks here in chucktown yet, they seem to still be off a bit. Plus it seems like the haden are hit or miss so far…
Thanks for the info good news my man.
