Guide bunks Vs Poles for jon boat

Launched the new jon boat this weekend with the electric trolling motor and had trouble getting it back on the trailer in heavy current since I don’t have any guide poles. I have guide poles on the 17 cc but don’t have any expirence with the guide bunks. Are they easier to use than the poles? I will mainly be using this boat by myself around here so I am expecting heavy current while loading. Thanks!

Got trailers with both, the bunks are the way to go, will keep it on the trailer thru out the landing and not pivot like the poles do.

I actually have both on my trailer for my 18’ CC. I find the combo helps in current plus I have Pipelights on my posts to keep my lights out of the water.
