Guide recommendations

Anyone want to throw in a few names of Guides you found not only showed you a good time but also were willing to teach you technique? I’m particularly interested in learning about Reds and Trouts.

My aim is so bad that I think I saw a fish give me the flipper.

Feel free to IM me.

Capt John Fuss at Holy City Fishing Charters is one of the best.

Ron Davis, aka RADDADDY on here. Out of Edisto, but spent most of the time showing us techniques and explaining how the fish move and how to find them according to the tides. Was well worth the money we spent and really shortened the learning curve for me. I was even able to use that same advice to find fish in other places/rivers. I can’t say enough good about the time he spent with us.

Fuss is your guy -A buddy of mine and his dad chartered him on Monday and had a great time.

Sabalo 21 150 Yamaha (under construction)

Key West Stealth 150 V-max (SOLD)

John Ward at Affinity Charters. Great guy and one of the best in the business. 693-2460.

richie
197 Pioneer Sportfish
16 Carolina Skiff
14 Alumicraft

Tucker Blythe Grey Ghost Charters
Geoff Bennett Charleston Charter Fishing
Fished with both and had a great time and learned an infinite amount
Havent personally fished with Fuss but he can def catch fish and i hear great things. I see him on the water nearly every time I go, gotta be doing somethin right.
Edit: Personally id stick to a guide who fishes a similiar boat to what you do. If you fish a 22’ bay boat, and book a guy with a 16’ skiff, youre gonna have a great time and learn lots about flats and skinny water. But you want somebody who fishes the same way you do!

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

Capt. Harry Tomlinson - has taught me everything I know about fly fishing and light tackle fishing in the area. A genuine student of the fishery, extremely knowledgeable and fun person to fish with. Tell him Jeff sent you his way!
