GUIDED MURRAY TRIP 7/7

Hit the lake again Saturday w/ Capt. Rob Lee{Hollow Creek Guide Service} And we HIT IT HARD!! Got on the boat at 6:30am, looked for about an hr or two and finally anchored on a very small group of stripers…First 2 in the boat were over 10lbs…Then Rob went to “calling” them!! It was the damndest thing I’ve EVER seen!! Lines were going off ALL OVER THE BOAT!! It looked like a chinese fire drill…We limited out by 10:30am w/ 25 fish and only 2 shorties. I don’t know the name of the cove we were in but I could see the dam.{hope that helps?} Good luck to all.

Use your dip net or landing net. Find a spot on the floor of the boat that makes a dull thud when the net is bounced on the floor.(:smiley:laugh if you must, but it will turn on fish at times:smiley:)

Growing old is MANDATORY, Growing up is OPTIONAL!

MudBall is right.. Except he had a big oak stick{don't know if the wood matters} He just hit the bottom of the boat in a constant rythem for afew minutes and when he stopped: LOOK-OUT!!!!!! And it worked, over and over again!! I don't know what it does to the fish or why, but it sure makes the inside of my cooler happy:smiley:. I guess it's like when your sitting at a stop light and one of "those people" with the loud bass stereos is rattling your windows pulls-up...you just HAVE TO look around and see where it's comming from?? or it may just mimic the drone from the dam and the fish knows thats where the bait is?? OR, it might just drive the live bait on the end of your hook "CRAZY" and that brings in the stripers? all I know is it works. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

Yep, we’ve also found that it works:smiley:Damned if I know why. Too bad it don’t work for redfish…
