Guides in Puerto Rico

Going to be there in April. Anyone have any recommendation on fishing guides?

Last winter we had had a great trip with Cap’t Omar from Caribbean Outfitters. Jumped about 25 Tarpon that day…landing them was a bit harder but we got some mid sized ones. Also had some small snook mixed in. The marina was about 10 minutes from San Juan.

San Juan. I want to have an offshore day and an inshore half day.

I fished inshore with Capt. Omar 7 years ago. We had a good trip. Jumped some tarpon. He is a nice guy and fun to fish with.

I second that one. Fished with him last year and he put me on a monster tarpon on a fly rod. Bucket list trip. Cabo Rojo is a bit of a hike from San Juan, but we were staying in Rincon so it was right there.

If you’ve never been to a Cockfight, they are everywhere and lots of fun.
