Guides

Yall don’t get upset about this post but I have had it on the Jocassee page for days with no response so I figured some of you guys/gals could mabye help. I want to take my son trout fishing on Jocassee. I want the best guide Lake Jocassee has to offer. I also want a guide that does not mind giving pointers along the way. I would not fish up there but a couple times a year so my son and I are looking to learn a few things during this trip so we could return in the years to come and catch a couple fish.

CF, I would be interested in any replies as well. Catching 5+ pound rainbows is intriguing to me as well. Finding a guide on that lake is an idea I’ve kicked around. I know downriggers are a big part of what they do up there.

You are right you have to fish around 80 feet with live bait the best fishing is at night light it up and drop down herring it is the same as any other fishing in the summer I have caught a few good ones that way but only fished it a few times
