I have a few plastic jars of Gulp shrimp, crabs, etc. I was just wondering how long that “stuff” was good for. One jar must be three or four years old. It must dilute the juice each time I throw a shrimp back in the jar. Any ideas out there?
Thanks

I have found no difference in the effectiveness of 5 year old Gulp! vs. new Gulp!. The “juice” will turn darker but doesn’t lose it’s smell. I don’t believe they ever go bad as long as they are immersed in the liquid.
I had a container of a variety of different gulps in the juice that sat in my truck for a year and a half getting hot and cold, hot and cold, etc. the only difference ji noticed was a slight breakdown in the material as they ripped pretty easy and getting them on the hook intact was somewhat difficult.
I agree with Rap on that. Heat will absolutely mess em up. They get incredibly soft with constant exposure to temps above 90 degrees. I store mine in the garage this time of year, and the garage fridge in the summer.
Thanks for the input! Yours are the answers I was looking for. I had noticed the slight change in color but I couldn’t smell any difference.
Thanks again

I looked at two identical sealed packs of gulp shrimp today at BPS. One had clear liquid in the pack and one had brown liquid. Is one old and one new? I tried finding a date on the pack.

The Brown liquid is older but works the same to me.
