It has been refinished and is in great shape
A cool pistol and a nice shooter for someone who wants one to shoot and not collect.

$750

That’s a dang nice gun. I have one from my grandfather that is not quite that same age, but never been refinished. Looks almost as good. I wouldn’t part with mine for anything.

I still shoot it two or three times a year. Nice shooting weapon for sure.

I get that this is a “shooter” because it has been refinished as opposed to a safe queen, but I thought these from this vintage had softer metal in the slides and were prone to cracking if shot too much leaving you without a complete original gun?

It’s not a complete original as it is now, so it’s already past that point. I’m no expert on it so I can’t answer you 100% though. I don’t know the history of this gun. Could be why is has a early '40s slide and other A1 parts. Obviously somebody rebuilt this gun at some point in time. The guy I bought it from had a nice collection of antiques and passed along a box of ammo made to mimic the pressures of 45 ball service ammo.

haven’t seen a text, check the number, 843-697-04 one one.

It’s a pro. I have another picture of the other side of the gun that I can get uploaded to photobucket. There was a 4.25" barrel pro series at one point in time.

Edit: got it to work.

Great gun…I have a PRO9 and a VTAC9, both exceptionally better guns than standard M&P pistols.

Nice price too!

Thanks. I thought so on price too! Seems when I want to buy one I can’t find one for less than MSRP. And when I want to sell one people want to pay $250 no matter what the gun is.

Screw that guy. I’ll give you $251.

It’s a nice gun. Unfortunately, 40’s are losing popularity and the market is flooded with trade-ins. That’s probably hurting a little as far as getting a fair price. $450 any other day is a good price. Unless you need the money, be patient. Someone who wants that particular gun will come along.
