Hey Stretch… I have some white foam and dark brown foam to tie gurgulers… I think I have it down pretty good but what is the best color(s) for dock lights? I was thinking black… I’ll swing by tomorrow if you’re in and show ya some pix and my gurgler I tied up…
black, esp @ night. the sky is the brightest background during day or night BUT a camo-ed baitfish is always white underbelly to blend in better with the day sky. but at night a black profile shows a profile much much better. white =day. black=night. try getting in a pool with both and some goggles and a whiskey buzz and see what i mean. i have spare time, and happen to enjoy whiskey and (seemingly useless, to my wife) experiments. cheers

Hmmm. I don’t have the feathers in the tail like that… Thanks Bro… I gotta get some black foam to do some up… got plenty of white foam. I use a B&W grizzly hackle for the white ones… should I be using all white instead?
Try what ever floats your boat. I tied this one as an original gartside gurgler, you can change it up in any way you think it will cause a fish to strike. Pro tip: Tie in one flat fat stripe of ribbon/tinsel. Trim the back body foam to a point and pull the tinsel over the top of the foam and tie in at where you tied to create the lip. This causes a more stream lined body and thus less wind resistance.
