Negative… It’s called mooching… If you are going to take advantage of reading other’s reports, it’s common courtesy to return the favor and post reports of your own…

could have called and i would have told you what we were catching.
only the last 2 trips i haven’t posted anything because there was nothing to report(BSB’s don’t count).i have only fished the gut wrench twice since oct 4th…

What makes you think I have beef with you? Is asking you to post a report an act of hostility towards you? I’m pretty sure that the Geneva convention does not define it as such…

as far mooching (as you call it),i give back as much info as i can,but since i do not have an ego as big as my boat i don’t feel its necessary to post to every topic like i know everything,plus i have alot of other more important things going on right now…

If this is the case then man I catch a lot of hell for asking questions about different styles and techniques…It’s a fishing forum, not a tournament where you must hide all your secrets to have an advantage on another. Gut Wrench, don’t feel the need to post either…SJ maybe he didn’t take pictures and a report is no good without pictures right? B/C it didn’t happen?

Sorry to offend you mr wrench. I didn’t realize you were sensitive about this topic. I apologize if I legitamately hurt your feelings. But, I didn’t recognize the other boats out there and didn’t see the names, nor do I know that they post on this site. You are the only boat that I recognized that participates on this website. I just figured since your name was written 3 feet tall across your hull that you wanted to be recognized. Sorry if I misunderstood.
I’m not asking you to post on every topic. It’s okay to post on a crappy day. This section is called “reports”, not “good reports”. We had a pretty crappy day ourselves and still posted a report… I’m sure you read it… But why do we even go through the trouble of posting reports if other’s don’t? It’s like drinking the beer out of someone’s fridge and not contributing to the stash…

I have never found it a lot of trouble to post a report.
Why then post you ask? Some people like putting the info out there for others to see, use, read, etc, and others don’t. You do not have to ridicule someone over whether they decide to post or not.
Its bottom fishing for Christ’s sake, I am sure Gutwrench is not planning his trips based on what everyone on CF is saying.

One of our best fishing days ever had no pics, well, maybe just one, but it never was posted here, just the report…and no one even questioned it. It takes a lot more than a pic to establish credibility. I would believe what GutWrench and SJ posted, as well as some others, without ever having to see a pic.
I believe most reports I read w/ out pictures…I don’t see reasons to not believe…Why would you post a fake report? Nobody will think any cooler or better of you for acting like you caught a load of fish…just a congrats
