left at 4:30am,had to do a bait drop in the harbor tho a friend who couldn’t find ballyho at 3 am…
headed out to meet a very confused and choppy ocean,nice…
get to our spot set the spread and drag baits for 3 hrs before our first sniff.boated 2 at 10:24,then nothing to brag about until 1:30,bam 5 lines go down,after lots of dancing around,shuffling rods we finally get all 5 in the box(nice)then nothing again till we get a black drum…after that we pack it up to head home…
ended up with 12 dolphin,2 bulls in the 30’s
2 cudas
i tasty watermelon.
1 black drum.

Thanks for the “drop”, I felt like an ill-prepared dummy, which is pretty much the truth. I will have things set up ahead next time for sure. Barton and Burwell were sure day-savers for me!
Chris (pallet man) & I had a wonder time, his first time fishing in blue water. I wonder what phase of the moon you would call that? Full? Glad you didn’t throw bannnnana man overboard, its a long swim home. If “ace” gave more notice about needing an operation, we could have had more duct tape. Still don’t know how you freehand that blackdrum & not loose your watermelon.

By far the biggest black drum I’ve ever seen, I brought it by Barton and Burwell and everyone was shocked -girth was 32 inches and wasn’t able to get a proper weight measurement. Made the catch even better that lone ranger hit it with the boat and hand lined it in, nothing sounds better than a big black drum smacking the boat and just rolling over on its side
Hooked Up I would think that black drum would not be fit to eat after being hit by the GUT WRENCH. Hope the inside was still OK.
How many packs of bait do you have to buy to get a free lure?
