Gut wrench gets its first sword.

Headed out with the rest of charleston sat afternoon…

did some bottom fishing in the afternoon,i red grouper, then the Navy decided we were in their way, send the chopper out to try to encourage us to move…didn’t work…then headed south to another spot, did a couple of test drops, nothing much but we would return in the AM…

headed even farther south/east past the 226…picked our spot and started to set up…well we went 1 for 4,lost a really big one boat side, either got the skeg or trim tab just as we were getting ready to gaff, had another pull the hook and lost another due to a tackle failure…finally at 3:24 am we get the keeper in the boat…ended up 24 miles out from the 380 hole, headed in to our spot and dropped anchor near royal terrace, current was rippin,20 oz was trolling while we were anchor, lots of sharks/cudas ate good, finally got another scamp and an assortment of big eyes…

not alot of fish but a great trip with great weather…just found out swordfish taste good…

Congrats Bob. What next, hard to top the year you have had.

Bob thanks for the trip. The swordfish made for a great birthday feast.
