We were by ourselves and had action all day,i can not stress enough to you guys,DO NOT LEAVE FISH TO FIND FISH,we have done this before with bad results,today we stayed right were the bites/bite offs and catches were,until we had our fill and wanted to find a day maker,but we never got him but we did have alot of other events to keep us busy.
1 bft 21 lb
1 wahoo 23lb
5 mahi mahi (biggest 23lbs)
2 broken Jobu owner hooks(brand new out of the pack)
1 lost and then rehooked planer rod with fish still attached(best catch of the day)the captain actually thought about taking a drink after that…
lost steering in the harbour,had to have another boat pick up angler and fish to make weigh in.
limped back to dock using the tr 1 and the motors to steer…
if there was ever a reason to buy the TR1 this is it,the steering failure is mechanical and the tr1 runs off hydraulics so it still will steer the boat…
i am getting way to old for all this excitement…
there maybe a play by play later,i have work that needs to get done…
