Guy Harvey Magazine is looking to put me back out on the water and fish with experienced fisherman from the Lowcountry. Is there anything that Guy Harvey won’t put his name on?
Absolutely! Grew up on the water. Second nature to me! What we are looking for is to get me out there on the water fishing inshore and offshore tournaments as well. I am fishing the Megadock with Hutch, owner of Key West. Also need a boat for The Miracles Tournament to cover that. Do not have anything lined up yet for fishing the Edisto Billfish but was just told today that I needed to start looking. I am sponsoring the tournament and have not even had time to relay this to Becca, the tournament director yet. They want to capture some great action shots. As you know, Harvey is all about conservation and catch and release for the billfish.

D Freedom…Harvey is actually very selective as to his partners that he does business with and quite a savvy business man, yes. I have the up most respect for his conservation efforts and his knowledge of fishing. Don’t know many men that will jump in the water to catch a billfish with his bare hands and go for a ride! You gotta give him that, lol.

Feel free to fish on the Dixiegal anytime you want.You could write a blog on my 92 Yammy with a tick(only at idle),and my 178 quart gott cooler with the homemade plywood top.My stereo works great(one speaker anyway) if you don’t turn it up too loud and the port outrigger has a slight bend 3 feet from the top.Don’t worry about bringing your i-pod because I have a Best of the 80’s Funk cd that will blow your mind.

You and I both know the nice lady was not talkin about fishing with the regular folks who can “really” use a free subscription to a fishing magazine.
Wow…ya’ll have been quite busy when I was gone. Just settled in from a long day at the tournament and still have to write about it for the mag and I come across this. Where do I start?? Hmmm…well…here goes…first of all, I don’t care what your boat looks like but the bend in the outrigger is a bit of a concern. Wouldn’t wanna loose a fish over that crap. I love 80’s funk, I’m a bit of a geek. I don’t use a bucket, I hang off the side or on rough days let the bilge flush it out for me. I don’t own a pair of Costas cause I keep loosing the (**() things over being too stubborn to wear a leash. All I care about is catching fish, getting the name out there for some of my local fellas and writin’ about it. My last boat was a gas guzzlin’ 135 gallon hole in the water that caught the hell outta some fish. As far as gas money is concerned, they (the magazine) will get the editorials out to 100,000 readers plus and 250,000 facebook fans. That is money for some of you Captains. Be nice or I will put you in time out!
