Dee and the guys at Hadrells will be doing the Second Annual tourny that Saturday. Rules sound like they will mirror the Jax tourny. Should be a good time again, with plenty of prizes (hopefully some boats as well!!!
Man I think I’ll be out of town.
Dave how much would an entire new Thule system cost versus just buying the brackets? because it seems like it would be a pain to remove the cross bar every time.
If a man wakes up early to go fishing he 's sleep deprived, If a man wakes up late to go fishing he’s fish deprived
Man! That is my anniversary. What are the odds on my wife letting me fish as a present?

Bummer bro.. But you do have almost 6 weeks to butter her up to the proposition... Perhaps scheduling something now, for the weekend before as an early Anniversary Gift, and letting her know about it ahead of time...
You could always make the excuse that your real anniversary weekend was already booked!
yeah i was talkin to dee about this the other day, said he wanted as much input from the kayak community as he can get … he wants this to be a great event, and i think we can make it one
2 comments though about last year
honor system needs to go … theres just no reason for it, seein as though everyone’s got a digital camera … a couple of the tourneys i’ve done just get ya to take pics w/ an “object” the organizer gives out at the cpts meeting, also after the event, the pics make for an awesome way to support kayak fishing in the community in a bunch of ways…
fish categories have to be separated … its just way easier to catch larger numbers of dink trout than reds
but yeah, super excited about the tourney, and PERFECT time of year to be doin it

I for one don’t have a digital camera but have been thinking about one…
any recomendations.
Do they make a waterproof camera for a resonable price?
What is chiefly needed is skill rather than machinery.
pilot, i recommend a cheap used nikon coolpix from ebay and a pelican case, i love those cameras. i have an enexpensive nikon digi that i only use kayaking, the d100 slr goes everywhere else.
Ross, There will be no honor system, photo, catch and release with some sort of item in every picture. It sounds like fish will be broken up into categories with winners for each division and an overall. Dee will have all the particulars soon.
Sorry, hit the wrong button. This tourny sounds great, I would love to enter but I don’t know any details or the area very well. I’ve been wanting to get down to that area, I live just below Columbia and fish the rivers up here with some luck, plus a new addition to our family has slowed me down a bit.I’ve read that livestoked goes to school up here now.I wouldn’t mind meeting to fish some time and maybe trade some info and tips believe it or not the smallmouth in the rivers up here are very agressive and put up a great fight. But anyway enough about that more info for out of towners interested would be great.
