anyone interested in pairing up on an Alaskan fishing trip.
I went a few years ago, had a great time. Rented an RV and traveled around fishing with a couple friends for a few weeks, it was awesome really.
What did you have in mind? If you are too far left or right politically like some of the kooks here I might have to choke the living schitt out of you before we catch a single fish, so it might be good to know a little about you before I sign on the dotted line, as I am sure others here are interested as well.
I used to put together some trips with a few of the guys here, it worked out pretty good.
Looking at Homer Ak. right now and fish Cook inlet.Really just trying to find fishermen who would like to go. Weather cant be much worse there than here, so i’m open to fish for everything, but really want a halibut out of the trip. Most places don’t cater to singles until september or later,so a good group would be great. This is supposed to be prime timeper the fishing lodges. want to go lets talk.
I did this trip about four years ago and it was amazing. Homer is the place to be for big halibut. We salmon fished and then did an “offshore” charter for rockfish. That was average. But standing in waist deep water throwing a fly rod, sign me up for that anytime.
I’d certainly go given the right circumstance. July is the best time of year to be in Alaska. You have to force yourself to stop and rest.

The photos are gone because this site sucks, but there’s still some information there for you to look at.

23 Sailfish and a couple friends came up to visit me for this trip when I lived in AK. We all had good time Salmon and Halibut for days. Now I commute between Charleston and Honolulu, but would definitely recommend a trip to AK for fishing. If you need some help I still have many connections there PM me if you need some help etc.
I remember that post, you had some beautiful pics on it. That is truly a shame.
Thanks everyone for the comments. I am booked for late August(less people, more fish). Am flying up early to explore and fly fish one day.Guide says that the halibut ,rockfish ,etc. is producing well. looking forward to that one, but its probably a longer boat ride. Regardless, as long as the weather cooperates i’m sure it will be a great experience.
Thanks 23 sailfish. Would have liked to have talked with you earlier, but i’m already booked . Maybe next time.
