Hamilton Branch

Will be up this way again for this years camping/fishing trip and will be at Hamilton Branch this time not at Hickory Knob! Any body having any luck on the stripers? Bucketmouths? Panfish? Will be there for 4 days in mid May…any advice would be great, thanks in advance!

Also posted this in the lake section but this seems to get more attention

Should do well with the stripers and hybreds bottom fishing cut herring off points in anywhere from 2 to 20’ water in mid May around Hamilton Branch!

Thanks for the heads up!

If you get a camping spot and do the tent thing, can you pull your boat up to the site or do you have to pull it out everyday?

We all left our boats in the water at Hickory knob last year, and from the websites photos it looks like we will be able to do it here as well! Not sure if all the camp sites are water front but our 4 are!

camped in a tent at hamilton branch a couple years ago, think it was memorial day weekend. we were going to go to baker creek state park but it was jam packed. hamilton branch was a pleasant surprise. really nice campsites and most are waterfront. i sat on the bank listening to the radio and drinkin beer with a cat rod out til bout midnight both nights. first night i caught a big blue close to 40lbs, came off right when i went to grab him. next night i caught a nice channel cat about 8lbs. was using cut bream for bait. wish this place was a little closer. there were quite a few people with boats pulled up to their campsites.
