hamlin sound and gray bay

I’m planning on going to the hamlin sound area tomorrow but I can only go at high tide. Any advice on which baits or lures? I usually fish hamlin at low tide

Stay at home. Too windy

I moved my trip today (not inshore, but freshwater) because of the wind as well. Went yesterday, no way I’m going out there in 20+mph winds. We’ll see what actually happens though.

If it were just for a fun boat ride, I’d be all over it though.

The Shem Creek guides have ruined hamlin sound. Back in the day if you tried to go in there and a couple of boats were already there, you moved on and went somewhere else. Somehow thru the years the place has expanded to where 15 boats can “fish” it at the same time. Some of us call it the inshore grillage.

With that being said. I would try some sort of cut mullet or half a crab for live bait and apparently the only artificial that catches fish is the Trout tricks.
