Hammered Em' Saturday

Got out in Bushy Sat morning cold and windy! Water was 47-49 and a little stained. Weather got better as the day went on and so did the fishing! Caught 25+ spot tail all between 17 and 22 3/4". Cut shrimp on an outside bend with a downed tree underwater. Had one pop my buddy off in the tree then maybe 20 min later I brought him to the boat with both hooks in his mouth! They were hungry Satuday! Kept a few for my friend and some to trade for deer meat and shrimp! Was a good day!

Nice;). I may have to fish bushy park one day. Have never fished there…heard there’s a lot of stumps to watch for if you don’t know where you are going.

Sounds like a good day fishing, went Sunday myself and caught three fighting the wind and tide.Only one made it in the slot so he came home for supper other two where over the slot size. All on artificial, you can find a stump or two in the right places.

Nice catch!

Hope to try 'em myself this week.

Sent you a PM StumpNocker

Thanks. Pen the worse of the stumps are on the fresh water side, on the salty side it’s the downed trees to keep an eye on especially on low tide you must stay in the middle of the creeks. If you ever do plan a trip to this side, shoot me a message if you want to before you go. Fish, they were caught on the out-going tide until the water stopped, then the bite stopped. I do tend to do better on the incoming when I am way up the creeks like that but like I said in my reply, try to fish both sides of the tide if possible for best results! Good luck bub!
