Hammerhead

Sorry for the late report but this is from a fishing trip with my Grandfather, brother, bestman and his wife on June 7. Since then I have gotten married and gone on a honeymoon so I’ve been a bit busy but still wanted to put this report out there. We started out fishing near Fort Sumter in the bay. Pretty slow but my buddy’s wife did manage to catch this little scalloped hammerhead on frozen shrimp.

Pretty cool. I have caught bonnetheads before but this was my first hammerhead. We moved across the bay to the south side of sullivans where I managed to land a 4 foot dusky shark on some cut mullet. I tried to key it out when I got home so the ID may not be correct but it was still fun to fight in.

Caught a few stingrays and some baby sharpnose also. It was a slow day but a lot of fun out on the water with good friends and family.

pretty little hammerhead…
