We are considering purchasing a house in the Hanahan area. The house sits on the water below the Goose Creek Reservoir and before the N. Rhett ave bridge. I’ve never been up that area before and was wondering what the bridge clearances are like between the reservoir and the Cooper River. It looks like, from Google Maps, that there’s three bridges that I would have to go under, from the house to the Cooper River. Can a 17ft cc get under these bridges?
The railroad trestle is probably the biggest risk. The bridge down by the Cooper will not be a problem.
This weekend offers a good extreme tide range to check.

around every bend theres the promise of a treasure that can only be caught and seen in a blink.. and in your minds eye..and sometimes if youre lucky..in a picture..its there for just a minute...then gone..but hopefully once youve seen it it will remain in your heart forever. Theres nothing like the "Smell" and sounds of the creek. Its not just one thing that makes it familiar..its all of it.
I really don’t think it’s 10 miles. My 17’ CC can make it from the Cooper to the N. Rhett Bridge in less than 10 minutes… I know I’m not going anywhere close to 60 mph…
Goose Creek measured out to 57,619 feet, divided by 5280 feet per mile is 10.9 miles.
