for home use. more for kid-proof-ness than theft, wife says cabinets and drawers won’t do it anymore, and I’m not putting every gun I own in a big safe. Stack-On makes some combo lockboxes for pretty cheap, not specifically for guns, but get good reviews.
would be nice if I could just test drive some… guessing our Charleston-area outdoor box stores may have a couple on display.
could someone give me the benefit of their experience? priorities are price, speed/ease of use, and stealth.
thanks in advance
Gander Mountain has a good selection on display. Not sure how they compare in price, but at least you can put your hands on them to see what you are getting.

Stop by a locksmith’s shop, they always have used safes.

I have 2 of these in my house for the same reasons. I’m happy with them. One holds a sig 2022 and the other a CZ p-07, It might not be for you if the guns your looking to hold are much bigger than those. They have held up good for over a year of pretty constant use with my concealed carry gun and you get pretty rapid access. If you get it think about where you’re putting it before you bolt it to the wall. My toddler has started pushing the buttons on the one I put next to my bed and now I have to move it.
