to me the greatest honor bestowed on Robert E. Lee is that our Nation Cemetery in Washington DC is on his former property…both sides realized what an incredible leader he was…if the North had persuaded him to go against his country, his Virginia, the war might not have lasted near as long…double edged sword…

Bonzo, I don’t think it was ment as an Honor bestowed on him when the North did it! I think the North did it to make sure he couldn’t ever come back and farm it!
