does it again! I had an idea to make my downriggers easier to use and Bob built the solution. See pix.
problem: DR too far aft and working from casting deck a pain. note cheesy aluminum tubing hand rail on deck.

solution: replace thin wall tubing hand rail with manly aluminum pipe, through bolted and backed, using existing holes and adding 30 degree rod holder.

now I can operate DRs from the cockpit and have an additional holder for planer boards.

THANX, Bob! Great work as usual!
BTW, Bob modified the gate on the tritoon to accomodate a wheelchair and added some other trick aluminum work on that project.
That dang Happy Bob is the man! Great looking set-up!

if you send your specifacations or a sketch, Bob can build it and send it to you. He did my casting platform via email and my description and measurements. the end result was sweet.

Bob, how’s your workload? I need a grab rail fab’d and installed on a center console, one that goes over/around the windshield. I guess they had planned on putting a T Top on the boat I am buying and it doesn’t have one.
there ain’t no shame in passin’ the rod
I will have boats in the shop for the next couple of weeks (if they don’t reschedule).
If you want to bring your boat in on the 1st or 2nd of August(Sat/Sun), I can build and install your grab rail that weekend. Or the following week if you’d like. It will only take one day to do.
Give me a call on my cell and we can work out the details.
Thanks, Bob
PS. Are you sure you don’t want a T-top for your boat?

no way on the t top. the darn things get in my way. There were a couple of really nice boats that I passed on because they had one. What do you think something like that will run? It’s a Triton 22 LTS.
