Headed out after work with a new partner, one that had never been in my boat before. Plans were to set up at slack low tide with the sunset time of about 6:30. Left out of Shem Creek, got set up and waited till just before sunset to throw in the bait balls. We may have waited too late because the bugs were on the bait immediately. Low tide, no moon till later in the night. Ended up about 3/4 of small to medium. Water was not bad at all, wind was not a problem. I thought the current was strange because it did not seem to change as predicted. Maybe all the flooding has the tides messed up. Flipper was on our poles all night long and we were still able to get a nice cooler of shrimp. Go figure. New driver did a great job. Nice night to be on the water.
