Trolled around in the harbor on Sunday morning for a bit with the Mrs and daughter. Picked up 5 Spanish all between 12"-13" on clark spoons released them all healthy, stopped for lunch and to swim around a bit then trolled home. Trolled only for a bit on the way home because it got a little snotty. Hooked what I’m pretty sure was a big (for charleston) blue fish but lost it at the boat on an Arby’s straw rig after seeing it on here and trying it just for S’s and G’s.
The surprise of the day was how pleasant it was launching and picking up at Wappoo Cut. I used to only go out during the week, new working situation for the family has me limited to only weekends and I was dreading it. Even with the golf tournament and plenty of people on the water it was pretty quick in and out and everyone was friendly. All in all left with a pretty positive experience which makes it easier to get the family back out there again.
