Set up just inland from Fort Johnson last night, 2-4 feet of water at low tide. (Hoping that a little closer to the Ocean than where I was Thursday night, maybe they would be bigger) They never really turned on like they did Thursday night, but were steady at 6-8 shrimp on most cast, a dozen on a good cast. There were less smalls than last time, but on average most mediums and some larges. Left about 9:45, still catching 20-30 shrimp a run (not a cast).
It was a beautiful and again very comfortable night, but at about 9:30 the hot tea with a splash of Firefly sure went down well. Sure would like to here if anyone has done anything at CB. I have a busy next week, so last night may be my last night out this year. Maybe get out that very last night… Looks like will be putting shrimp in the freezer with the Credit card soon.
Tuff year for sure !!! I spent all my time at So. BB I never heard anything all that good from the harbor so I didn’t go.
