Harbor, ICW, Shem Creek 10/9/17

Got out about an hour and half before high tide. Put in at Wappoo. Target species, shrimp first then trout. After about 30 casts with the net we had 1 shrimp and 4 spots (really small). Dark clouds and rain pushing in behind us we decided to run towards ft. Sumter. Change of plan. Pick up poggies and target spot tail. There were no birds anywhere and really no activity at all to be noticed. Change of plan, Shem Creek Bar and Grill. Target achieved. A few beers and some oysters later we headed out to pursue any fish that might be had. We ran across the harbor back towards WA and the sky opened. Rain came from above, below, and all sides so change of plans. Next target California Dreaming. More beers. Target achieved. Weather cleared up so we headed back towards home. Stopped at Coberge creek and found bait. Lots of bait. Shrimp and perfect FM plus poggies. Actually fished for about an hour until the boss called to remind me it was time to get home for dinner and home work. Absolutely great day on the water!

You need to try some RainX on your glasses. I love cloudy days on the water.
