Be down this weekend around IOP, worth running out into the harbor or through the shipping channel to look for spanish or kings?
I hear they are catching them a little ways out. In a 20’cc so not going too far out myself.

I’ll be out there Sunday its always a chance its been warm and the bait is here. slow troll some live menhaden and go after it. The reefs are listed on the side of the page under reefs to try them to. They will be in range with a 20’ boat.
Thanks.
Is it important to be out ther early in the am or is there a better tide?
Menhaden easy to find now in the Harbor?
I plan on leaving early just so I can find my bait. The menhaden will be flipping and look for the diving birds and you’ll be in the money so to speak. they can be found behind Fort Sumpter and by the folly light house area.
or just inside the ICW by Sullivans Island if you don’t see them where gdaddy’s posted. just before the drawbridge… Sullivan-side… that’s my default area. one throw and ready to go…
the menhaden where everywhere today…from shem creek all the way to the front of sullivans…dont know bout the kings but catchin bait is half the battle.
Keep casting.
Does not sound like many people are catching them or spanish in close yet, water not warmed up good yet? Seems like the bait is here. Couple reports or people looking around close with no action. May try one morning this week if the inshore bite slows down.
