Two of us were able to get out on the harbor on Friday of last week in the afternoon. 4 or 5 other boats when we arrived. It was windy and solid chop early but then eased up as we got closer to sunset. We were throwing a 10 foot and a 12 foot with good results. And almost filled a 5 gallon bucket. Some of the same patterns as last year in regards to depth fluctuations based on time of day. My Simrad echo was key in finding the groupings at all depths and kept us from casting in vain. Any newer MFD echo should be able to do the same. The image of the shrimp behind the helm was from what ended up being the best casts by both of us. Size was small to medium which is not great, but they were creek tasty. Lowcountry Low Tide Living!!
Nice! Much better size than we got baiting them that same day.
Good hustle! Thanks for the post. You can’t catch them on the couch!
