Harbor sharking help

I’ve got a few in-laws coming in town this weekend. They want to catch sharks, I don’t ever target sharks. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Either the cooper or harbor area would be best for us. Thanks in advance, I may be able to point you to a few spots holding good reds and flounder in return!

In-laws make the best shark bait. Seriously though, the biggest fish patrol close to the beaches - get a few bricks of chum and sit out in front of Sullivans or IOP. Chunk a few whiting and hang them from the swim platform. Big fish out there in the surf zone. Just try not so smack any swimmers with your bait - I learned that the hard way LOL!

No salt, no fun.

Live bluefish work too and any oily and bloody fish is going to start drawing them to the boat. Never personally shark fished the harbor, so good luck to you.
