Harbor Sun Morning

Put in at Wapoo at 6:15 and caught some nice bait right at the ramp: shrimp, FM, spot, and pinfish. Ended up not catching anything with it though. Everything was on artificials today. 1/4 oz jighead and various Z-man baits (4" paddlerz, minnowz, and curly tails). Colors used were houdini, redbone, shrimp, and gold flake. With the light winds I mostly used the trolling motor and worked current edges in 6-8 ft water for trout and shell/sandy grasslines for flounder. Stopped fishing at 11:30 after I drank my last water; it was HOT! Total was 9 trout from 13-18" and 3 flounder up to 16". All but one trout and one flounder released.

P.S. I saw an alligator (6-8 ft) around the rip rap on the southeast side of Daniel Island this morning.

Nice work, hairball. Good post as usual.

Wish I could have gone. Spent the weekend putting new bearings, seals, spindle and rotors on my son’s truck. It was unbelieveably hot out there. All that, only to learn we now have transmission issues. I should have gone fishing.
